I'm six months out...i can eat an entire McDonald's cheeseburger in 15 minutes... can you? I know it's not the right thing to eat but dang it one bite turned into another and then it was gone. My girlfriend had the surgery six years ago and can't eat one that quick.

For me it's one day to the next. Some days I'm hungry and can eat more, faster. Other days it'll take me an hour to finish a toddler portion!

Are you talking about the kids size cheeseburger? I'm two years out and I could maybe eat it if I took the top half of the bun off. I can eat 2/3 of a quarter pounder with none of the bun or 2/3 of a Son of Baconator from Wendy's with none of the bun. And, BTW, these are things I eat like 4 times/year when I actually go to a city with fast food restaurants. It's a rare treat of junk food.

It's from the dollar menu? I don't know if it's kids size. I definitely eat less but I don't have the kind of restriction you have

Sounds like you were pretty hungry and had the excess room to do it. I wouldn't stress about eating it that quickly as long as your sleeve isn't bringing you to your knees asking for forgiveness.

I could probably eat a half of one. I'm a year out. It might make me puke if I tried to eat the whole thing. Hamburgers are tough for me.

I can eat the dollar cheeseburger (300 cals, as I recall) now easily at 15+ months post-op. I'm definitely full afterward.

As I recall, at 6 months post-op eating the whole thing was a big deal. I could do it (I think), but it was not nearly as easy as now.

If I skipped the bun I could eat about 3/4 of the patty. DH is 5 months out and could eat almost an entire dollar menu cheeseburger if he's really hungry. Feeling good afterwards is another story.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
