12 Hours Until My Surgery Check-In!

Recommended Posts

My surgery went well yesterday. My surgery time was 7:30 am and I was discharged by 1:30 pm that day because I was walking around and able to tolerate liquids. I'm in less pain than I expected from the surgery and am moving around pretty well. The nausea is not fun, but I expect that will improve in the next few days. I hope things went well for everyone else!

My time was 7:30am yesterday. I'm still impatient, dr didn't let me start Clear Liquids till this morning. The pain has been horrible on my left side at the incision sights. I'm able to walk around but the pain is just unbearable and the morphine every 4 hours just hasn't helped at all. They switched me to a Tylenol/codone pills an hour ago and we are seeing how they work. Less nauseous for sure, but still in petty bad pain. No real other complications. Will see if tommorrows any better. Good luck everyone!

It's getting a little better each day. The pain on my left side is still pretty awful but that's really the only issue I'm having so I shouldn't complain.

Getting the Protein and Water in is going to be difficult....I managed to get all my Vitamins and supplements in yesterday but wasn't anywhere close to the Protein or Water goals. Building up to that as best I can....it really is a full time job!

Hoping everyone else is doing well too!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
