  1. Maybe... but my insurance says the 6 months bmi over.40 and a comorbidity. Like diabetes, high blood pressure, both of which are.treated for1 year with medication, or pulmonary hypertension... if bmi of 50 it think it is automatic but I'm not at 50
  2. I found out that I do not meet requirements for the surgery because I do not have a co-morbitdity no high b/p or diabetes at this time :-( my world is crashing down :-( I needed this so bad.
  3. Ours is changing on January first due to union contracts... but I believe 6.concscutive.months of programming is required before approval

  5. Good view on it!! I will change my perspective.
  6. Thanks skepchick! I think that is what is required so hopefully 6 months from 11/30 I will have a surgery date. Seems like a long time from now
  7. Thanks I'm nervous and excited at the same time!
  8. Thanks guys! 6 months seems like a long time but I know it goes fast. I will send in paper work to the surgeon and go from there I meet with my PCP in 11/30 so maybe I can start my 6 months there
  9. Thanks for the update!! I hope you start to feel better soon!
  10. Thank you guys so much. I'm just hoping I can get the doc to sign off on done of my attempts to decrease my waiting time. I don't want to chicken out
  11. Glad that things went well. I too am depressed because of my weight. too bad that isn't a co-morbidity for insurance
  12. Hope all is well I look forward to updates!
  13. Congrats!!!! So excited for yoU!
  14. So you were not being technically supervised but had been doing this on your own? I have done weightwatchers and atkins but idk if doc will sign off on it or not Excited for you to be closer than I am to getting it done!! Yeah I had seen my doctor for other things off and on during the time frame that I was doing the weight watchers so she had no problem doing the letter and paperwork for the insurance company. I was approved and sleeved on 9/28/15. Hope everything works out for you!! So excited for you!! I hope things go well do you mind if we become friends so I can track your progress>>! I have BCBS too through the state. I think they require 1 year supervised but I am not sure yet.
