Starting the process could use some encouragement
Maybe... but my insurance says the 6 months bmi over.40 and a comorbidity. Like diabetes, high blood pressure, both of which are.treated for1 year with medication, or pulmonary hypertension... if bmi of 50 it think it is automatic but I'm not at 50

Newbie Starting Journey
So you were not being technically supervised but had been doing this on your own? I have done weightwatchers and atkins but idk if doc will sign off on it or not Excited for you to be closer than I am to getting it done!! Yeah I had seen my doctor for other things off and on during the time frame that I was doing the weight watchers so she had no problem doing the letter and paperwork for the insurance company. I was approved and sleeved on 9/28/15. Hope everything works out for you!! So excited for you!! I hope things go well do you mind if we become friends so I can track your progress>>! I have BCBS too through the state. I think they require 1 year supervised but I am not sure yet.

Starting the process could use some encouragement
Hello all, I am just beginning the planning process. I have Wellmark Blue cross blue shield Iowa via state employment. I am so afraid that I will get denied or that it will all get postponed until I chicken out. I have been to the doctor occasionally for depression and thyroid monitoring but other than that I only have one supervised diet attempt and that was for 2 months only. I have tried several diets but none have been truely successful and long term. Any tips on getting started and seeing this happen in the next year? Thanks!
