  2. I don't do bread since surgery. For me it feels like a sponge goes down a pipe and then expands.
  3. I couldn't get to 80 protein grams without the shakes.
  4. I would encourage you to track your intake, if you are not already. I've had a great experience and am only 6 days out since surgery, but can easily drink 16 ounces of soup in a half hour. I was thinking mine must have been too big, but when I've tracked calories, I haven't got 1000 any day. And I've lost 8 pounds this week. Keep focused on numbers.
  5. I was only assigned clears for 5 days post op. I started all fluids today. It was wonderful to have the premier shakes and box creamy soups. Are you really supposed to be on all clears that long? I couldn't make it to more than 20 grams of protein a day on all clears, which was not a big deal for 5 days when I was mostly sleeping and medicated.
  6. I was assigned clear fluids for the first 4 days. On day 5 (Monday) I can go to full liquids including cream soups, v8, yogurts and pudding.
  7. Broth and beef consommé
  8. I got sleeved Nov 25 so this is post op day 3 for me. I'm on clear liquids until Monday. I have true hunger. Rolling tummy hunger but can only tolerate a few sips at a time. I'm finding broth and beef consommé are much better tolerated than Popsicles and powerade zero and make the hunger go away. Apple juice and white grape juice are going ok too.
  9. Mine was just about an hour. I went in at 11 and don't remember anything until 4 pm that afternoon.

  11. Beef consumme and v8 spicy were a nice contrast to the many shakes cream and soups. French onion soup too. I also liked mixing a little sf pudding in my shake with ice in the blender.
  12. My surgery is today too. In 7 hours. I'm anxious and looking forward to being on the other side of this. Sending positivity out to you all pre and post op.

  19. I'm on day 3. It's not as bad as I thought. I am gaining confidence too in my ability to do what is required after surgery to avoid muscle loss. Just stay focused. Mindfulness - just taking in the minute in front of you. One day, one second at a time.
  20. I'm scheduled for November 25. On day 3 of the liquid diet. Good luck!!!
  21. I just switched to Nuva ring so that I'm sure to still be covered even if pill swallowing is a problem.
  22. I'm on day 2. 1200 calories or less. 150 grams carbs. 40 grams of fat max. The creamy box soups, V8 spicy, yogurt, jello and the protein shakes are my main staples. Just make sure I have something every hour or 2. Good luck! I'm too much of a scardy cat to cheat.
