My shower drain is finally hair free!

Recommended Posts

So I have been one of the unlucky ones who has had significant Hair loss. I probably have lost about 2/3 of my hair. Thank goodness it was thick to begin with.

I am almost a year and a half post op and nothing has helped... I have tried it all. Lots of Protein, Biotin, various shampoos, lab work has been fine, tried various oils, castor oil, emu oil, coconut oil, essential oils and nothing helped. It was a constant science experiment.

I then added liquid silica to my Water once a day( got it from Amazon) and that slowed the loss down but it was still falling out.

Then I ordered a marine collagen called Vitaglow and began taking that. All I can say is finally something worked!!! After four weeks my hair has quit shedding and is thickening up. A bonus is my nails are strong and growing like weeds. After I ran out of the Vitaglow brand (it was a little pricey) I switched to a brand called VEDApure and it seems to be working just as well. Also, my hair is a lot softer and doesn't look as fried/dry.

Hair success!!!

Just thought I would share if anyone needs help with their hair woes.

@CowgirlJane. You are so right I would exchange every hair on my head for this wonderful weight loss. I could always wear a wig, but this surgery has given me a new lease on life!!!

@@OutsideMatchInside I think it is helping my skin!! I am hopeful that one of my forehead wrinkles is slowing disappearing. Also, I am afraid to think its real- but my inner thigh skin seems to be tightening up??

Mine finally stopped shedding like crazy as well. Lots of little hairs popping out everywhere. I thought I would be bald as it started at 3 months and I am nearly 13 months post op. I too lost 3/4 of my volume thank goodness I had a huge head of thick hair to begin with.

I take http://www.amazon.com/Neocell-Super-Powder-Collagen-Packaging/dp/B0011DJ71I/

It definitely helps with skin. It is subtle at first but one day you will be shocked at the improvement

I just bought some and I am PRAYING it works. The front of my hair (bangs) and hair around it is really falling out and if I stand under a light or the bright sun you can totally see my scalp. It's a small price to pay for the weight loss, but if I could NOT lose hair that would be awesome too!

I used the link someone posted and got the 14oz Neocell jar.

I'm drinking the neocell collagen with Water for the first time. It's pretty much tasteless, but the smell is a little weird. It took a while for it to dissolve, but the Water I had was VERY cold. If the water is room temp, does it dissolve quicker? Also wondering how long before I might see (or not see hair in my drain) results?

Margie122 I take a marine collagen and it probably took about 4-6 weeks before I could tell for sure that it was working. However, before that my hair began to slowly get softer and less dry/brittle. The Hair loss had slowed way down. I still lose some, but nothing dramatic like I used to. I also have little to no breakage now.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
