Thank you all so much for your responses I agree I need to actively try and get my highs from a new productive habit. I'll have a good think about it.

It's so weird how similar the over eating and over spend cycling is.... the delicious anticipation and planning or the pure joy of a suprise temptation... the shutting out of the thoughts that tell you you will regret this.. the raised heart rate and excitement of the purchase or eating... the warm glow that follows and the brief high.... then the guilt sets in.....after a few cycles of that you face major weight gain or debt issues which add to the stress and of course you need to feel good again....

I guess I should be grateful I hate cigarettes and alcohol!

Serious question -- can you return any of the things you bought? For example, the camping equipment? Even though you "need" those, the timing of your purchase was not ideal.

Re the need for new clothes as you get smaller -- first, shop in your closet for "skinny clothes" you saved as you gained weight. Then find consignment shops that sell second-hand clothing in your area -- including high-end shops, church bazaars, Salvation Army, Good Will. You'll be amazed at what good things you can find there.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
