I'm 1 week post op. Today was my hubby's birthday and where you'd assume that the struggle was being around celebration with food and cake there was non of that. My sweet husband wanting to keep things easy for me, didn't ask for anything and even took the kids with him to dinner without me so I wouldn't need to watch them eat.

So I've been feeling like a terrible wife because I didn't have any gifts for him (haven't been able to go shopping) and there was no cake, no candles to blow out. :(

I've cried several times feeling like a failure and my hubby keeps wiping away my tears telling me not to stress about it.

It's been really tough

He sounds like a very supportive and loving husband. You deserve this time to get your strength back, so relax and try not to be so hard on yourself. You'll be back up and around soon.

Don't worry, you will make it up to him a thousand times over once you are better and healthier! Let him spoil you right now and appreciate every minute of it! Better, healthier times will come my friend!

How are you feeling Nessa?

I love @@DEArgentina's advice! Let him spoil you and then you spoil him right back when you're ready! It will be even better and sweeter! <3

Message. I know exactly how you feel. My DH had his birthday the day before my surgery. We had to travel to the hospital for a few hours and what with nerves and second thoughts ( not much) and just trying to remember everything.... my poor Johnny got left behind.

He was so strong for me. Bless his heart.

A couple weeks later I made his favorite. Fresh blackberry pie.

I am 5 days post op and still working on getting in Protein. I do good to hit 60 right now. I was so bloated from the surgery and the air they pump in that I just got back to pre surgery weight yesterday. Due to the bloated feeling I am able to get down about 2 1/2 oz every 2 hours.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
