Just wondering how long after surgery did you start dating? Pretty curious how many others are single and ready to start dating? I am a little over a year and would like to start dating again. Been single over a year. I was in a relationship for about 8 yrs but things did not work out. I wouldn't mind finding someone that will accept me and my son.

I started dating about six months after. It was hard. I'm still dating and afraid of taking my clothes off because dressed I look perfect but my body is pretty flawed. Just have to find the right person I guess.

I always think I have to be perfect.

Be careful dating after surgery. It's easy to get in over your head because so much has changed.

I've dated all through the process. I saw no reason to stop! I see myself as quite a catch and if someone doesn't see that through my fat, they're probably not worth my time.

I think one key point is to gain the confidence....,it's a very attractive trait

I had my dating profile online waaaayyyyy before surgery.

And kept it up.

I didn't really meet anyone in person for 2 years post-op.

I did send and receive many emails to prospective dates.

None of them worked out long term.

But I did use that time as "practice" on how to meet and talk to people.

Thank you all for the comments. I guess we just have to take one day at a time. It's always good to read others experiences.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
