I experience frothing today for the first time. Took a bite of cottage cheese and quickly another bite didn't chew well!!! It was the worse thing I every experienced. Thought I was going to have to call 911. It took over 40 min. To pass now anything I drink or try to eat feels like it's going to happen again. Or it's just in my head. Was sleeved on 8/17/15 anyone have this happen??

Yeah, for me it was popsicles. I still shudder a bit every time I eat one and if I rush, it happens again.

I'm actually a year out and it actually stops happening about 4-5 months out after your stomach relaxes a little. Anyway, it happened to me with sugar free fudge pops and butterscotch pudding. The butterscotch pudding sliming/frothing lasted around 5 hours and was awful. I would continually belch up a pudding and thick saliva mixture every 10 minutes.

I'm 2 years post op and every once in awhile if I eat something dry too quickly I froth. It's gross, but I've kind of gotten used to it now. It's basically the stomach's way of coating something that it thinks is going to hurt it in goo and then expelling it right back out your mouth as quickly as possible. Oh the joys of a sleeve.

Ugh, broccoli does it to me, plus anything I consume faster than a snails pace!

It's happened to me quite a bit. But now at 12 weeks out, it doesn't scare the crap out of me. I spit it up, use a Gas-X, walk a few minutes and turn the page.

I DID THAT ON A PC OF meat. I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU MEAN. I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO HAVE TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL - I THOUGHT I WAS DYING. BUT IT FINALLY WENT ON DOWN. IT'S PROBABLY ALL IN YOUR HEAD NOW BUT IT SURE IS A TEACHING TOOL WHEN WE SCREW UP!

For me as soon as the frothing begins, vomiting is soon to follow. Which I am quite thankful for couldn't imagine frothing for hours.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
