Hi, not from Newcastle but close from Gosford. I am going in to have my sleeve on the 11th May. We are off on a cruise next week for our wedding anniversary, then when I get back on 30th April I go on Optifast till the 11th. I am excited and scared! Looking forward to getting this weight off! I had to laugh when they ask how long have you been overweight, my answer is ALWAYS! Like everyone else have had success with diets, then all the weight is put back on, so sick of that cycle, I want something that is going to be forever. I know it won't be easy, but am determined to make it happen.

Went to a reformer pilates class last night and really enjoyed it, can't wait till I don't feel so uncomfortable.

Love to keep in touch with you all and any tips or advice would be appreciated.

:)

I had my surgery in November at Gosford!! Who is your surgeon? I have officially lost 50kgs as of today!! I have never been this thin or happier!!!

I can't stress enough how much this will change your life! The sense of achievement you will feel is amazing.

Hi.

I know these posts are old but I'm only new on here. Having my surgery on 4/4 in Newcastle. Can't wait.

I lost 60kg 15 years ago. I maintained that for about 10 years but 4 miscarriages later & still no live babies food got its hold back on me. Am ready to change that again.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
