2 week post op weight loss stalled?

Recommended Posts

I had my lapband on August 6th and lost 15 pounds within a week and now I have gained 2 pounds back. I know that this should not freak me out but I am so scared about failing at this! I have only been eating between 300 and 500 calories a day, and I know that I have not gotten all my Proteins in on somedays... is this normal? I go back for my 2 week post op this Thursday and I am nervous!

This is totally normal, don't fret. Your body is going nuts right now from the low amount of calories you've been taking in. It needs a week or two to get on track. Everyone goes through this, don't worry! Good luck, and congratulations on joining the wls family :)

Hi, girls. I had my lap band surgery the same day and having the same issues. I am down 18 lbs total but that includes my pre-surgery weight loss with the liquid diet. Worried about the stall/regain but everyone says that is normal and it will start to come off again. How much do you want to lose total? I'm hoping 75 lbs.

I would love to join...but I am so nerveous! No one knows I have the band! Ahhh...on another note, I hit a weight loss stall for about a month....I was a wreck! I upped my Protein and switched up my exercise. Sometimes it's hard to get all required calories. And I heard that too few can put your body into starvation mode..so make sure you get plenty of protein and Water. I know this can be hard because some days it's hard to eat or drink much...good luck to y'all!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
