Swallowing air

Recommended Posts

Ok so this is going to sound quite dumb but is anyone else feeling like they are swallowing air when they casually swallow like just your own saliva?

Since yesterday I grew concise of every time I swallowed not food but just my own saliva I suppose. And every time I do it (cause its supposed to happen automatically) but now I am aware every time and do it more than I should. And I am swallowing air! And it's hurting my stomachache! And I can't stop it

If I walk and move around I start burping it out but I just can't stop swallowing air. What is wrong with me?

How far out are you? I had to learn to take smaller bites and close my mouth with each bite, then take a deep breath to make the air come back out. If I eat anything in slush form I still have a small issue. Sleeved 6/8/15

I'm 5 days post op. If I get distracted I swallow like a normal person but if I'm thinking about it I keep taking small bits of air

It doesn't matter if I take small or big bites or swallows - I still swallow air. Right now I think the air is more difficult to get out of my stomach with smaller drinks. At least a moderate drink leaves a bigger air bubble to get out. I don't burp easily though and never have.

They gave me a,special water bottle that only allows small sips at a time. I couldn't drink out of anything for the first 6-7 weeks but that.... I want another one... mold grew in the valve-had to chuck it...

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
