Hello everyone . I had the sleeve in Dec. 2014. I have been losing steadily with good progress until lately. I am stuck at 133.5 lbs. I have been at this weight for three weeks. I've lowered my calorie intake. I intensified my workouts, added three weight lifting classes per week. And the scale isn't moving! My Protein intake is where it should be.

Has anyone experienced this? If yes, how did you break out of this platou?

I'm so frustrated.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Susan

well not that I'm ANYWHERE near goal but the lower your bmi and weight the harder it is for your body to consistently lose. When you intensify your workouts you don't want to get so low in calories it is unhealthy. That will tell your body to hold onto some of the weight til your glycogen is back up to proper levels. Great job so far,

I have learned that my body will sit for a few weeks and then start to lose again. My last stall was for 4 weeks (frustrating I know). After the 4 weeks, i lost 12 pounds the next week. I think you need to be patient. I am sure you are doing good but sometimes our body needs a "reset".

Good luck!!!

Thank you for the encouraging words. It's a relief to know that I'm not the only one to experience this. How did 12 lbs come off in one week????? That's amazing!

I know this well! I sat at 6 pounds above goal for 38 days....frustrating to say the least. Then one day I lost a pound and the next day another pound. Even though the scale wasn't moving, my body was changing. Keep your head up!

Thank you! The weird thing is my body is changing. My clothes are to big in the waist and legs. How can this be when I'm not losing?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
