I am getting pretty nervous! The hardest part I worry about the most is the changes my husband has to go through. He is not over weight!

Still new to the group. Got approved yesturday.. And surgery is literally next wed Dec 23. Im stoked!! Met with my surgeon today. Hes pretty cute and confident.

I need help...started liquid diet yesturday with Protein shakes...doc said he used to recomend optima fast..aka slim fast...now the hospital recommends batiatric advantage bc its lower cost. Thoughts?

I really like the Premier Protein shakes. They have 30 grams of protein and taste really great - at least the vanilla does! If you have a costco membership, they are about $25 per case of 18 so that equals about $1.40 each. They have 160 calories per shake and keep me full for a long time. I have tried all sorts of shakes and I also like whey Tech Pro 25 at 24 grams of protein, 110 calories. They have a chocolate Mint that is really good!

Best wishes for your surgery on the 23rd.

I am surprised no one else is the 30th. I can listen and learn from all of the 28th'ers. I have a broken foot so that is going to make things interesting - i have my cast off - but now an air cast. Ain't nothin but a thang. Lol

For those of you who are scared to have christmas festivities....cant you make it not all about food and treats? That is what we are doing in my house. I have 5 girls and so we are doing alot of christmas crafty projects and going on outings together as a family...not focusing on just food like Cookies etc. Christmas eve we are planning movie night and making lap blankets with fleece. New traditions for a new life style!

This is a great idea juno5. If your are having your procedure prior to Christmas, I don't think keeping a lid on it is going to be an issue. At thanksgiving I was not enticed by the food whatsoever, and if you are bold enough to try something, your new belly will let you know right away you have made the hugest mistake. It was great to be around family and friends non the less.

I'm a few days away from getting sleeved (12/28) I'm a little nervous but very excited. I think Christmas is helping take my mind off what would normally give me anxiety. How is everyone (sleeved and waiting) feeling?

I have my weak moments and moments where I am ok. I will be sleeved on 12/28. I am not nervous but I am anxious to get the procedure done so the weight can start coming off

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
