Yes. My insurance paid for the study but not in the facility- it had to be in my home. They gave me the machine and a youtube address which walked me through how to do it. To be honest, it was a little nerve racking doing it myself. It also was hard to sleep because I had all these wires all over and things in my nose. I am a side sleeper so whenever I tried to roll on my side it would set it off (slight alarm) and I'd have to go back to my back. At one point I was ready to just tear all the wires off me and give up....but.... I knew I'd just have to do it all over again. In the morning I went in and stayed in the office waiting room for them to download the information to be sure I did everything right. (figured if I didn't then I could just take the machine home with me again...) It is not the easiest thing to do but it is necessary for our approval- you can do it! Just stick with it and if they don't have a cd for you to watch- check on youtube- a lot of companies have videos on there to help you set up.

Good luck

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
