I was trying to delete this but since this site won't let me, I have questions. I have never flown before and I don't know what the airport allows us to have as far as medical devices are concerned. I have to wear knee braces on both my knees and I use a cane to help me walk. Will I be able to take them with me or will I be made to leave these things behind? I will be flying to San Diego next month and I'm just trying to get all my ducks in a row lol.

Might be easier calling the airport and asking what their procedure is. Also get to the airport early in case of hold ups getting through security but I am sure you will be fine.

On a side note, I was travelling from Israel to Jordon once on holiday and there was an older guy who was taken off to hospital to be x-rayed because he had had a hip replaced and he kept setting the alarms off. We had to wait 4 hours !!

Oh how we laughed :(

Good luck for the journey. Please let us know what happens.

Kate

All your medical devices are allowed. Call your airline and tell them you will need wheelchair transport. They will have someone there to take you through security and to the gate. You should get priority boarding.

Believe me this is done all the time and it will make your journey so much easier!

Safe travels and best wishes!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
