The 3 week stall is real. IDK if you read many posts here but everyone posts that they get it and it doesn't last forever. Stick to your plan, exercise and the weight loss will start again. Hang in there!

Oh yes, it's real and extremely frustrating! I dropped 20lbs in 14days...then nothing for a week now. Trusting the plan, I never heard of anyone that didn't loose at least 75lbs after surgery...but I'm not the most patient!

Congratulations! You have reached The Dreaded Week-3 Stall. It's perfectly normal, and just about all of us have suffered through it. You're not crazy, and your doctor didn't screw up. In fact, you might not lose any weight for two weeks or even longer. But don't worry – after that, the pounds will start falling off if you stick to your program. And, the inches will continue to come off even while the scale isn't budging. Here's a good article that explains why it happens and why we all have to go through it. Hang in there. Pretty soon it'll be in the rear-view mirror and you'll be dropping weight again!

(Apologies to BP regulars who have seen this repeatedly, but it's a big deal to those who are going through it!)

Day 12 of my stall after losing 20# in two weeks. I'm thinking my caloric intake is not enough. It's 4PM and I've consumed Water, 61 grams of Protein, and 590 calories. My metabolic rate taken by my bariatric center was 2650 calories/day. I swam for an hour this AM as I do every day.

Wonder if I boosted calories if it would help me break the stall. I also feel tired and dizzy a lot.

Yes, I'm day 13 and lost 20lbs. Now, I'm stalled. According to the previous writers, it is normal. I just have to concentrate on staying strong and keep on keeping on.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
