When were most people able to tolerate tortillas or bread? I was sleeved 2/23 and am down about 80 lbs. I have a hard time with really dry meat and have really limited my diet out of fear of feeling sick and throwing up. Any advice would be most appreciated!

I have no problems with bread unfortunately. It's easier to digest if toasted and eaten slow. As far as the meat, if you cut it up in a salad or eat it with cooked veggies, it helps to digest it easier That's what I had to do with my band and still do with my sleeve. Especially if the meat is dry

I still have problems with bread. Tortillas get stick no matter how small of bite I take. I can eat bread if it is dry toast. I have to eat meat with some type of suce. They are all too dry if I don't have a sauce covering it or to dip it in.

I wouldn't recommend eating bread at all, but there are some low carb tortilla options. My grocery store sells a brand called Father Sam's that I've had a couple of times post-op. But I usually just skip bread/carbs:

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
