Hey there September sleevers! Any one out there?

Hi! I just started my journey and I am looking forward to chatting with those of you who are on a similar time-frame as myself. My insurance is Cigna so they require a 3 month supervised diet, psych eval and sign off from my primary (which I am worried about, I haven't seen him in 5 years so what if he wont sign off? should I find someone new? suggestions?)

I am aiming for an early September surgery date, my Dr. said it is doable! I am excited and nervous.

I have learned so much already from reading about everyone else's experience it has really helped to calm me down.

I feel like I am obsessed with this and it's all I can think about. I have probably watched 200 youtube videos so far. LOL

Any tips, tricks or advice is welcome and appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

It seems like it has taken forever to get here but here I am! September 3rd! I leave at 4:00 a.m. for the hospital. Excited. A wee bit nervous and I haven't slept a wink. Instead I have been cleaning

Just had it done.

5 days post op - not hitting my liquids mark yet but getting there - sip sip bloody sip!

Blogging again, today is a sensitive topic, but it will make you laugh I think.

Pushed back a full day. On my way now. Not as nervous after this delay. Here we go!!!!!

Going home today. For those of you that hadn't had your surgery.... make sure you walk walk walk!!! The nurse staff here have been amazed at how much walking I've been doing. When they say walking helps with gas and pain its the truth.

I'm in the process of being discharged but cant go until I can drink half as protein shake and keep it down which sounds easier than it is when you have really bad abdominal gss pain

Take Gasx also Radar hormel double protein nectar peach flavor has 24 g protein in 2.5 oz bottle. 3 bottles have 72 g of protein so you can do 2 1/2 bottles. I put over ice

Surgery tomorrow at 1030am

I went home the same day. So far so good. No gas. No nausea. I've been walking around the house and drinking liquid. I think I will stop pain meds tomorrow. On a 1-10 scale my pain is at a 2. I feel so blessed right now.

I'm done! I did it!! Had the surgery 9/21. Feel sore, but so glad I did this. Awesome feeling of accomplishment! Now, if I could just eat this jello..... :)

Me too ... Just waiting now!

3 days post op, lots of soreness and stiffness, but I wouldn't trade any of it.
