Hey there September sleevers! Any one out there?

Hi! I just started my journey and I am looking forward to chatting with those of you who are on a similar time-frame as myself. My insurance is Cigna so they require a 3 month supervised diet, psych eval and sign off from my primary (which I am worried about, I haven't seen him in 5 years so what if he wont sign off? should I find someone new? suggestions?)

I am aiming for an early September surgery date, my Dr. said it is doable! I am excited and nervous.

I have learned so much already from reading about everyone else's experience it has really helped to calm me down.

I feel like I am obsessed with this and it's all I can think about. I have probably watched 200 youtube videos so far. LOL

Any tips, tricks or advice is welcome and appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

It seems like it has taken forever to get here but here I am! September 3rd! I leave at 4:00 a.m. for the hospital. Excited. A wee bit nervous and I haven't slept a wink. Instead I have been cleaning

I don't know about the rest of you but I just had a moment where I realized that next 4th of July I will be nearly half my size. It made me *SMILE* Happy 4th everyone!!

Sorry it has been awhile since I have popped in here. The facebook group keeps me busy.

I am officially 15 days post op. On purees (2 more weeks to go) and overall doing great. Tummy is still a little bit tender but I figure that is par for the course. I am down 12lbs since surgery. I am doing a pretty decent job of hitting my water and protein intake, Eating all my vitamins and itching to get back into the gym (Dr. said one more week and to ease into it).

Hope everyone is doing great!!

. Can you send me link to fb page?
the group is secret, if you message me your email I can send you an invite. :)

Still hanging in there. Lol. Gonna be an October sleeved most apparently. But that's OK. Maybe for some reason just needs to be. Plus my mother is having a very difficult surgery again this coming Tuesday, so meant to be. ☺

My surgery is Monday and I'm nervous and excited.

Radar I would say. Alot of mixed emotions anytime surgery involved. But you're at the finish line almost! I'm awaiting a date myself. Should be getting possibly scheduled for pre op sometime in next week. Then a 10 day liquid diet.

Rima how are you doing? Any room on the bench for me lol

My surgery is Monday and I'm nervous and excited.

Good Luck Radar

I am coming up on 3 weeks post op. I have not had a problem eating foods, but really stick to my soups, protein shakes and water, water, water.

Next week I can begin puree foods which will be heavenly.

My biggest problem is gauging how much is just right. I always seem to take a spoon or two too much.

Typically I find a pound a day gone.

I am slowly getting there

Eating and drinking little bit little. I actually have 7 openings and to d at I accidentally ripped one of my pump switched

Hope your doing better now Michael!! Keep us posted.. God Bless

just curious, When did you have your band taken out?

I am next week too. Converting from band. So nervous!

I'm nervous too. I'm just praying that all goes well for us all.

Surgery was today...so happy that I went through with it! The pre-op diet was kind of hard to stick with but I did and loss 10pds. really for the rest of this journey!!

I am so excited for everyone and thei progress so far. I will be the caboose at September 30th. :)
