Hey y'all!

Three days until surgery and the emotions are as followed:

-Excited

-Scared

-Happy

-Nervous

Etc..

The day seems so far yet so close. I am an emotional mess, and I am realizing how life changing this is going to be. The shakes are physically making my gag after have been on them for weeks & this week it was nothing but shakes. I'm just so ready for Monday & watch my life transform!

Anyone else having theirs onMay 18th?

Your going to do great. Had my surgery Monday May 11th. It is all a blur. The hospital check-in, pre-op and then the short trip to the OR. Had every feeling you had pre-op. Still weak and a little tired but that is to be expected. Dont be afraid if you cant reach your protien goals the first couple days or so. I am post op day 4 and am still under a little. It is going to take time to heal your new stomach so go slow. Best of luck and wishing you well!

I'm 6 months post & best decision I ever made! Only sorry I didn't make it sooner. I turn 74 next month & feel better than I have in 20 years! You'll do great...just follow the rules...this is the first time I really took everything seriously.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
