Hey there! I am also a patient of Dr. Nick. My surgery is scheduled for June! I am actually a revision patient as I had a band that slipped and had to be removed, now I'm going to be a sleeved!! I am a ball of emotions! Dreading the pre and post op diets but it's all so worth it!! Congrats on your surgery date!

You too! I'm just ready to get through these tough parts and enjoy my life at a higher level! I am anxious about the diets but have to start on the 25th. Don't want to get into surgery and have them back out because my liver is too big. Are you going to go to the support group meetings he offer some?

Yes the pre op diet is very important... But we can do it! I went in March and April but won't be able to go this month. Have you been? They are great and you learn a lot!

Yes, we can all do this. Haven't been to support group yet planning on attending them. I belonged to one after having cancer and it was a lifesaver in getting through that. Is one better than the other? Dr. Nick gave me 2 options.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
