I was sleeved on 3/31. I've lost about 34 lbs since my surgery, with a stall the last 2 weeks. I was beginning to think I was not doing well. Thanks for your posts, they're encouraging!

I would like that. I have hit 40 lbs as of this week. Just went to my sons college graduation and wore a dress that I couldn't wear for 5 years. This feeling is just indescribable!

7lbs before surgery the rest post op! I do an hour on the treadmill every day and just really stick to the 3oz Protein. I do go days without losing anything then boom I lose 2 lbs. I do eat salad now as well and some veggies (not a huge fan of cooked veggies) my family really roots me on as well when I'm thinking I want something (chocolate) they will tell me think before you eat! Lol I do and the feeling goes away most of the time. I have a Quest bar for Breakfast most mornings because it's quick and easy. tuna or an egg or cottage cheese for lunch then chicken, fish or some kind of protein for dinner. If I get a sweet tooth I make sugar free pudding or have a sugar free fudge pop. We are all doing great! GO US!

So I am 7 weeks post op and have lost a total of 28 lbs, but that is pre - op and post op! If I'm counting only post op then my number would be 22lbs in 7 weeks. I'm averaging about 2lbs a week, which is in the right direction but just feels so so slow! I am not doing any strenuous exercise but I am walking a lot. I drink my Protein and eat my protein. However, it feels like my sleeve doesn't restrict me as early as it should. In the mornings I can eat an entire bowl of cream of wheat at one time and am hungry again within 2 hours! I take all of my Vitamins like I should and am very consciences of what I'm consuming. I do feel like "how much" I'm consuming could be an issue but I'm still only getting about 8-900 calories a day. Any advice from anybody? Am I making a big deal of nothing or do I really have good reason to be worrying right now? Just dont want it to turn into a bigger problem later.... So any and all advice welcome!

I was sleeved on 3/26 and have lost 34 lbs. it seems like we are all in the same average which is reassuring that I'm getting it right. Good to know. Let's checkin again next month:).

OK, so I guess I am somewhat in the same range, just a little slower. I think it's time that I start incorporating exercise and being diligent about it! Thanks for the encouragement, I will definitely be checking in next month! ????

I was sleeved on 3/20/15 and total weight gone is 35 pounds since surgery. I hit a 3 week stall that just ended a few days ago. I changed up my exercise routine and food intake and the scale moved again. I actually fit on the ALL carnival rides today..... first time since 2007. I was so happy I happy I cried. Good Job to everyone! It's not an easy journey, but it's YOUR journey, make the most of it.

I realize more now, just how much i have lost. Ive lost more inches than i have pounds. Ive dropped 3 pant sizes and am really feeling the difference now. The key is to just try and be patient which i obviously have had a hard time with. Keep up all the good work sleeve buddies!!

Crayon67 do you have Protein Shakes etc to get your ptotein in? Or maybe I need to ask what Protein requirements does your Dr have? I just feel I need to switch it up to step up my weight loss.

Sorry haven't been on in a few days. I try not to drink a shake every day but I do still drink them. I usually have a Quest bar for lunch and eggs or cottage cheese for breakfast. Then for dinner a meat protein. My dr wants 60-90 grams a day. It's hard to reach when I'm working so I do rely on shakes and bars more on those days.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
