Better than sugar free ice pops

Recommended Posts

I'm 3 days post op and have had a lot of trouble getting in Protein without getting disgusted. Drinking little cups of thick shake...ugh. I bought Syntrax Nectar protein in fuzzy navel flavor. It's good, but still grosses me out to drink it. I put it in an ice pop maker and froze it...omg so good! This is a much better option than sugar free ice pops as it serves as a protein source. They actually taste better than sugar free ice pops as well. The Syntrax totally replaces the need for shakes. I seriously would be in trouble if not for making these ice pops!

How many ounces of Water did you use to make the pops? I mix a scoop with greek yogurt and its really good.

that sounds like a fantastic idea :) Syntrax has been wonderful for me. If you don't mind crystal light, I would suggest using a scoop of Syntrax and 1 crystal light packet in about 24-32 ounces of Water. that dilutes the "protein" flavor and you just wind up with crystal light flavor.

I use 8 ounces of Water for one scoop and that makes 4 small (my ice pop makers are 2 oz each) ice pops. I probably could add even more because it doesn't have that Protein texture and flavor when it's frozen. It really just tastes like an ice pop!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
