Things are going well, no nausea or pain. Sometimes I think my pouch is bigger than it should be because I've only felt full once since the surgery and that's day 3 when they finally introduced me to soft food while in the hospital. I look at myself, and I know that I'm only 5 days out but I don't feel like I've lost anything, and it doesn't help that I don't have a scale. Unemployed and can't afford one so have to wait for follow up appointments to check weight loss.

I've read others concerns regarding their weight loss and I know that I shouldn't expect such a huge change being only five days out. But my brother had the sleeve and he is barely 2 mos post op and already down 65lbs. So I'm a little jealous at how quickly his weight is coming off.

1st thing you need to remember with WLS is this and i think this is the 1st rule.....Do Not Compare Yourself To Anyone Else! Everyone will lose in different ways. No 2 people are alike. We are all different. Thats why we all have different fingerprints, different personalities and different beliefs. Just focus on you and not anyone elses progress. You are living your journey and no one elses.

Girl I'm the same way. I am 9 days post op today and I see all these post about how they struggle getting 2 to 3 ounces down and it don't take me 5 min to drink my 11 ounce Protein Shake. I eat a 4 ounce Soup and still get hungry but don't eat cause I don't wanna over do it. Plus I have weighed the same for 4 days

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
