Compression shirt 3 days out

Recommended Posts

Anyone know if it would be ok to wear a compression top 3 days post op? I feel like walking around wouldn't hurt as much if I could wear a top that would keep my tummy in place and not moving as much.

I did. My doctor said as long as they didn't irritate the incisions it was okay

Thanks. I wore one on a daily basis before my surgery so I may go back to wearing it so that walking around doesn't pain my incisions so much.

I got mine at Wal-Mart. It's been a while that I've owned it, but I think it's this one

I wore it everyday prior to surgery to smooth things out so I looked better in my clothes.

@@wannaBthinsoon - anywhere that sells sportwear. Lane Bryant has them in their activewear line. Personally I prefer them over Spanx or waist trainers. I buy compression yoga pants as well. It is especially helpful now as I tend to be a bit more jiggly as I lose weight.

I wore one everyday since College. I wasn't able to tolerate one until about 2 weeks out. It pushed on my incisions and the sore muscles underneath. I wear one now at 3 weeks and I always get them at Walmart, Ross, Belks, Marshall's, Any discount or outlet clothing store. :)

I put my tank back on and it seems to be helping. Only one of my incisions hurts and it's the one on the right side of my body and even if I take my pain meds it does nothing for that particular pain so I have been off pain meds for 2 days. I actually think it may be bruised tissue and not the incision itself that hurts.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
