Surgery in Mexico

Can anyone tell about their experience with having surgery in Mexico? Where did you have it and with who? About how much did you spend and what was the entire process like? Sorry for all the questions. I am just nervous.

Surgery prices in Mexico vary widely, you can get as cheap as 4k, and on up to 8k. you get what you pay for. After reading a lot of horror stories, I am glad I went with Ariel Ortiz. He is not gonna kiss your butt like some of these other docs that are a little too eager, he acts like a doctor. His staff are professional. The whole process for me, took about a month- from first inquiry, to scheduling an appointment, to hauling my butt down. Glad I got it done quickly

I'm scheduled for April 14th in Mexico.

Anyone else getting it done in Mexico?

What is the way your payments were made? I was asked to make a cheque to my coordinator and not the hospital. Is this normal??

Mine is on may 23 in pierdras negras with Dr Alvarez. A bit pricier but has great reviews and seems safe to go alone. Good luck! I just love his you tube videos. Very informative.

I just had mine last week with Dr jaime Ponce de leon. Good coordinator is as crucial as the surgeon. Mine was 5000.00. Paid it all with cashier's check to the Dr. I can't believe how easy it all was, went so fast it doesn't seem real yet. I made contact with them, scheduled & done in two weeks. I had to move fast to take advantage of husband's time off. It was now or wait till July. I'm so glad it was now.

Im leaning and researching more on Bariatricsurgery.com Dr. Alejandro Lopez. Any one heard of him?

I used Dr Lopez last April and had a great experience! I'll be a year out on the 7th and I'm down 100lbs! I'd do it again, no question - in fact I'm going back to Tijuana for plastics in September!

I had my revision surgery with Dr Zavalza and baraitric pal!! Amazing!!! The whole process was outstanding!! David who lives in TJ is the BEST!!! You get picked up by Robert, you stay in a very nice recovery condo with Johnny right next door. They cater to you and make you feel like family!! Dr Zavalza is very cautious talks to you before surgery over skype and visits you daily. Dr Luna is right there to! You have full access to your doctors and your your support staff!! Please research Dr Z!!!

KC VSG :) THATS GREAT! I am scheduled for May 26- 2015 but I am sure I'll be pushing it back at least a few weeks later to June 2015. We may meet :) where are you from? I live in Louisiana. I'm so excited. I research for more then two years and finally decided and paid my deposit. :) thank you for replying :)

I just put down my deposit with Dr. Lopez. I'm schedule for the end of June! I'm excited and nervous!

What company did you book through? I referred my cousin to him but she can't fine him with the company I used - BariatricPal Deals.

Yes, alejandro lopez

Your right, I check on it other to see how much it is and the price keeps going up especially for June and July the summer vacation times.
