Surgery in Mexico

Can anyone tell about their experience with having surgery in Mexico? Where did you have it and with who? About how much did you spend and what was the entire process like? Sorry for all the questions. I am just nervous.

Rocky1 now I'm not saying that Tijuana Bariatrics is a bad company at all. I just figured if I have a question / concern that I would be emailed back with answers. Please refrain from replying to any of my posts. I am not on here for bullsh*t. I'm on here like everyone else, for advice! Going back and forth is so elementary. I'm grown. I don't have time for all that. I'm not trying to be pushy and sound snobbish or do I want to deal with people who portray their self that way. Thank you but no thank you :)

@@lorenas331, not yet. I've decided to do more research on Dr, Zavalza. I see they also perform their surgeries at the Florence Hospital in Tijuana Mexico and they have a doctor who does the dental implants. I'm waiting to here back from them with a quote on the dental implants. Dr, Zavalza charges the same as Dr, Garcia. Which is still great. I'm trying to get two things done around the same time. One week/7 days is all I'll have off of work. ((I got billzzzz)) :) :)

@@kimmorgan no I don't. I'm not really into Facebook. I received the email with the forms to fill out and send back. I'll be doing that first thing this morning when I get off. :) I should be getting a quote for the dental implants surgery this week as well.

I would NEVER have a dental procedure at the same time as another major surgery. Any dental procedure or oral surgery tends to release bacteria into the bloodstream and you don't want that bacteria seeding your surgical site. In fact, in the US, depending on the type of surgery, they advise against any dental work for 6 months postop. Of course you can take antibiotics, but it was the antibiotics I was given for a tooth root abscess that caused my C. diff infection 2 months post VSG. Not a fun experience.

@@Kindle I already had all of my teeth pulled out at the top and have these uncomfortable upper dentures. March of 2016 will make a year. Then I'm able to have the All on Four dental implants. I'm awaiting to here from the dentist and the doctor to see if it is possible to get both around the same time. If it is possible :) if not :( but I'll be OK :) I received my passport card in the mail today :)
