At first I said yes, and then when I figured out that I couldn't get it registered, I changed it. My justification was that the types of surgeries that were given in the examples were cases where malabsorption issues occur. I figured it didn't apply to me. I talked to Gay Riley, the nutrition gal and she confirmed that I didn't need to check it for lap-band surgery. Use your judgement though.

I'm laughing because I said yes at first and then changed it to no when I saw I wouldn't be able to register it too. I rationalized it by saying that our bands are merely for reduction in calories not malabsorption as you noted. None of you seem to be having any rpoblems with weight loss so I'm guessing it won't be an issue. I'll see.:smile2:

The BodyBugg is great! I miss the days of being able to burn 4,000 calories...it seems that my body has become much more efficient recently and I am lucky to hit 2500 calories burned in a day with 1 hour of exercise.

My average burn for the last 2 weeks was 2800 a day.

This morning I worked out for 2.5 hours and I am only projected to burn about 2750 calories. Yikes!

OKAY.... so I want to know if the Body Bugg is worth all the hype !! I am about to purchase one online but I just want to make sure. I read that it doesn't actually keep track of how many calories consumed so how do you know that you are burning enough????? Just wondering if it's worth the $350! :confused2:

Darby,

I've had mine for 4 weeks and have been able to loose the amount I projected I wanted to loose. No it doesnt track calories consumed, you have to input those into your diary everyday. Yes I think it is recommended that you wear it every day for the first few weeks. I wear mine all the time because I'm still not to the point to where I can manage my intake and burn everyday. I ordered mine from 24 hour fitness for $220....without the display, but with a 3 month subscription.

I have done pretty crappy the past few days. Here's the deal. I logged my food, I increased my exercise. I had an average deficit of over 1500cal per day. i am so sore from my kickboxing class that i can hardly walk. What do I get for all of this..... I gained 1 pound this past week. No it isn't TOM. I am sooooo very frustrated. I haven't done well the last couple of days. I feel like it is probably Water weight, but I am having a really hard time. I didn't even wear my bugg the last 2 days. YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't doubt the bugg at all...... I figure I am gaining muscle because I have significantly increased my exercise. I do love my bugg, but I am having a hard time picking myself up to keep pushing like I have been.. Any suggestions.....

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
