@@Hertsukfem31 You may need to ask your DR for a stronger narcotic. I had to and the step up was an amazing difference!!

The first week post op sucks. Hang in there and keep walking. Make sure you take care of yourself and this will be a distant memory soon.

I was the same. Did short walks through out the day the rest of the time was in bed. Had to take a laxative to get things moving. On in my fourth week and it does get much much better. Be easy on yourself and let your body heal.

Are you having the pressure/ pain in your shoulders? That is so painful. the only way to help is to get that trapped air out by moving around. I did heat and walking. Also try laying on your left side. Hope you feel better soon.

I'd definitely talk to your surgeon. I had no surgery pain postop, but if yours is normal for your surgeon, perhaps he can get you different pain medication, you shouldn't have to be suffering.

Oh my the gas pain in the shoulder is awful!! I just had surgery Wednesday the 11th and then again Friday the 13th late. So I have to deal with this pain again , it sucks!! Take one day at a time that's all we can do.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
