@@Slimsoon1988 I ate eggs last week for the first time. I'm 19 days out and supposed to be on puréed/ground. I bought some baby food but I don't think I'll need it. I've been doing the chew chew chew my food well and have not had any problems.

I made corned beef, potatoes, carrots and cabbage tonight for St. Patrick's Day dinner. I had the corned beef(flat cut, fat trimmed) potatoes and carrot. No cabbage, I'm afraid ????. Mashed the veggies with a bit of butter and made sure to chew chew chew my fifty-cent piece size of meat. It was fabulous. Took my time, enjoyed the conversation around the table of family and friends and stopped when I felt full.

My Program told us that eggs are the number 1 blockage causing foods and that they should not be eaten until after the 42 day post op mark. I still haven't tried them because I am scared of getting a blockage...

I have never heard that about eggs. There really is a wide variance in programs. I was allowed eggs at 2 wks and it was the best egg I ever had! I made it scrambled soft with a little bit of greek yogurt and some shredded cheese. It went down easy and was a welcome break from all liquids.< /p>

I had eggs at 2 weeks post op. I was allowed eggs once I hit purees. I made them really soft, almost custard like. I added a tiny bit of greek yogurt and some shredded cheese and cooked them really slow, constantly stirring. They were divine! it took me an hour to eat them, but man was I happy not to be having a liquid meal.

This sounds so good!

I am two weeks out and eggs are now allowed. I thought I would be healthier to choose egg whites. They were horrible! I have had them before, but I guess my taste changed. Tomorrow I will try a full fat egg lol!

I am 7 days post op and I can honestly say that the thing I want most is a scrambled egg. I think it is funny how it seems like a lot of sleevers want eggs. Must be a Protein thing. Unfortunately, I cannot have eggs until week 5. Lord, give me strength!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
