Sleeve 3 Day Post Op so far so good!

Recommended Posts

Hello fellow sleevers. I just wanted to say hello and let y'all know a little about myself and hoping this site give me support and pointers I know I will need soon. Thank God everything has been good so far. It has been hard drinking enough liquids and getting the 60mg of Protein in but my sleeve hasn't rejected any of the Isopure or Water. I am tired a lot though, is this normal? We're mid move which involves a lot of walking and packing so this may be why I feel so tired. I have pain sometimes from the incision where my stomach came out of but that's pretty much it. Hope everyone's having a great Sunday!

Congrats and welcome! Protein Protein protein! Your new "best friend"! Get in as much as you can, and then some more! Same with liquid, popsicles, whatever you can, you need it. As far as the move goes, be careful! You don't want to end up back in the hospital, and lifting, especially heavy things can put you back there. You have had major surgery, so you will be tired. Give yourself time to heal, and if you're like me and had hiatal surgery at the same time as your sleeve, you shouldn't be doing anything that may harm you. I was told (and it may be just me) not to lift anything over 10 pounds for at least a year, to allow everything to heal properly. If you need a bariatric pal, let me know. Good luck to you!

Thanks @

I was careful not to lift things but did catch myself trying to bend down. So I'm being very cautious now. Thank you so much for your encouraging words. It's hard especially with the rest of my family eating take out all weekend. It's been hard but definitely worth it

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
