duplicate posts abound!

Recommended Posts

I'm posting from a laptop and this seems like a technical glitch. I only posted this once, but my post appeared twice within one post. Can somebody please remove the duplication out of my post here, Post #187?

http://www.bariatricpal.com/topic/366513-may-16th-surgery-buddieslets-do-this-together/page-19

I can find no way to edit my own posts on this website. Am I missing something? Thanks.

@@Maggie Journey if you hover your cursor near the "Multiquote" button in the bottom right corner of your post, an "Edit" button should appear just to the left of it.

The multi-posting thing happens a lot. What I usually see is that I compose a reply, click "Post" and then the little wheel spins like it is trying to post . . . but nothing happens. So then click "Post" again. If the same thing happens, click it yet again. And then it eventually posts but with the same thing three times! So what I have learned is that if I see that happening on the first instance, where it looks like it didn't post, well, it actually did. I don't click post again. I navigate away from that particular page then come back to it, and there my post is just like normal.

It's a weird glitch.

I do the same thing when that happens. Either I duplicate the tab and refresh the page or open a new tab and go to the last page of that post to verify it was posted. If it was, then close the original tab.

I have noticed in the past week that every post with a picture has TWO of the same picture. Seems like a glitch to me as I'm sure everyone didn't mean to double post pictures.

I don't think the problem has gotten any better since it started a few months ago.

Well, I know some of them are intentional cross posts because I actually investigated one of them (I think a mod did remove some of them later) and the same message was in 6 different forums. I admit, those are the ones that irritate me the most because i do really try to respond to newbies sometimes too (frankly most vets don't) and when i have to sift through all that I am less inclined to try.

I am also sure most of it is simply a hiccup... and they are unintended multiple posts. . Jamie, I like your suggestion - perhaps making it directly to Alex as a possible enhancement to the site would help with some of this?

I remove cross posts whenever possible. They make the hair on my arms stand up. Grrrrrrr.....

We still haven't implemented a fix that works 100% of the time. We are upgrading the site and app in 2-3 months and it'll be permanently resolved once we do the upgrade. Your mobile experience will also be greatly improved at that point. We have some interesting things we plan on rolling out once the upgrade is completed. I really appreciate the feedback everyone provides. You have no idea how useful it is for us to make things better, thank you!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
