Recommended Posts

I LOVE seeing all the before and after pics but I was just wondering what everyone's before and after health stats were. Improved? Stayed the same? Worse?

I think you will find even people who don't achieve an ideal weight get significant health benefits. I lost a CPAP,my A1c is way down (was inching toward pre diabetes), no more blood pressure meds. My other blood work was always good, but my cholesterol has gone from good to unheard of outside of Japan (that was a joke but my point is beyond excellent).

Since I work out my resting heart rate is 59, which is considered quite fit for a 50year old woman.

In spite of my current cold, I am sick much less and just generally look and feel much younger than my age.

As for me -

I no longer have the arthritis pains in my knees

I no longer have issues with cholesterol

I no longer have issues with blood pressure

I no longer have issues with sleep apnea

I no longer have issues with diabetes

I no longer have issues with working out (much more enjoyable now!)

Although I have added additional Vitamins, my medicines have been reduced from 8 pills a day down to 3, with the 3 pills I take having nothing to do with weight (allergies, etc.)

This is just the health benefits I have realized...there are of course so many other benefits I am enjoying as well!!!

I was sleeved 10 weeks ago and I'm down 70 lbs. my dr. Took me off my BP, cholesterol and asthma meds. So far, I'm fine and feel good. I'm bipolar and my psych meds have been decreased by 1/2 and so far my mood has been stable.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
