One Month Post Op and EXTREMELY HAPPY!

Recommended Posts

Just a quick note to let you all know Valentines Day will be exactly one month since my lap band surgery and I cannot tell you how happy I am that I have made this decision to better my overall health.

Within the first thirty days and 10 days prior to surgery on a liquid diet. I have lost a total of 44 pounds. When I went for my first fill 2 days ago I was in total awe.

I did notice my blood pressure became a lot lower than usual. I was told by the awesome staff at NYU langone to see my physician regarding my BP meds.

After seeing my physician, he immediately took me off one of my three meds that I have been taking for the past 15 years.

"One Down - Two to Go"

Since my surgery I have to say I am eating better, being more aware I what I eat and looking for a healthy lifestyle for the rest of my life.

I will check in from time to time and thanks for all your support!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
