Why do people feel they have a right to be rude now?

Everyone knows how hard it is to lose weight so when i get questioned- and I am starting to get questioned a lot now, I take it as a compliment regarding my hard work!

I remember when my mother turned 80 she would say to people, "I just turned 80, don't I look great for my age?!" It always made me laugh and gave me the desire to enjoy my achievements, whether it be losing 60 pounds or running a marathon, or hopefully one day turning 80!

Some of you are much more positive than I am, lol. I look at the Nosey Nellies as just that, nosy. To me, they don't give a rat's behind whether I'm successful, they just want something to gossip about. To be honest, I think most of them would prefer that we aren't successful, because that would give them more fodder for gossip.

I go through this with my sister. She's incredibly supportive but has no friggin concept of privacy at all! Last time I saw her we were visiting mutual friends I hadn't seen in a while. She not only announced numbers but insisted I take off my coat so they could see how " great" I look. I have to frequently remind her to knock it off or I'm going to have to have her killed.

Last time she did it I brought up her hysterectomy and starting asking very personal questions about her feelings about fertility, effects on sex drive, etc. When she quit being angry she said she gets it now... we'll see.

"I'm so tired of talking about MY weight. Let's talk about YOURS instead." Said with a smile...

For the most part I choose not to be angry or upset with others who are in most cases simply happy for me. But I am going to save this for the ones I let irritate me

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
