Strained Cream Soup question

Recommended Posts

Do I have to strain the Soup or is it acceptable to put it in my blender and blend unitil it is completely smooth?

In the full liquid stage, it has to be strained. Once you move onto purees, you can blend it.

a lot depends on the Soup as well, for example during my liquids stage I had cream of broccoli, and I strained out the actual pieces of broccoli because you don't want small pieces of vegetation in your sutured area of your sleeve. now in the pureed stage I just removed any bigger bits so little small things I didn't bother much with. but that's just me.

I was told not to eat Soup unless strained. Only the chunky stuff is eaten. I am supposed to eat and drink at separate times. Soup, of course, has both combined and it goes through the stomach too fast.

You mean once you were on solids? That makes sense. I had assumed the OP was referring to the full liquid diet immediately post op. During that phase, I was only allowed to eat the liquid part of Soups (strained out the solids), since I wasn't allowed solid foods yet.

I haven't eaten soup since I moved beyond the liquid phases, since it's not a good source of Protein.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
