Where to shop?

I'm not quite there yet, but I'm getting down to the lower sizes at Torrid, Avenue, and Lane Bryant. Where did everyone shop for clothes at that in between stage, around size 12? I'm 34, so I need professional work apparel, but also fun age-appropriate stuff for non-work time. I know Maurice's carries a full size range, but honestly I've never shopped at "regular" clothing stores in my entire life. Advise? Thanks!

Macy's and jcpenney clearance rack. Plus on the sale days there process are really comparable to places like tjmaxx for professional clothing

#their prices

Macy's is great for suits, blazers, etc. for 14/16.

Oops, you said 12-- that, too!

Hi,

Yes, Macy's has great clearance and sale items. I also spent a lot of time at TJMaxx and Marshall's (although I found I could get better deals on jeans at dept stores sometimes). I also found good deals at forever 21 (even though I'm way past that age). Also H&M. I like to dress fun and age appropriate too, so you can definitely find something there. Enjoy your journey!

Do you have a Belks? Their regular prices are ok but clearance prices can't be beat. And they have really cute clothes.

Kohl's, Kohl's or Kohl's!!!

Luv that store

one really close to my house

but..............

many people have checked out the thrift shop for bargains

there are many clothes there that still have tags on them

going down in size? thats great!!!

keep up the good work

kathy

congrats

Congratulations on your fantastic progress. Isn't this a great problem to have!

For professional clothes I would look at Macy's as well as Boston Store if you have one. The have great prices on their clearance racks.

For sure Macy's and Amazon also...

I love Lord & Taylor. They had a great selection of plus size professional clothes and now that I am in regular sizes I am like a kid in a candy store! So much to choose from and great sales too! I try other dept stores but always come back. I guess I am sort of sentimental that they support the plus sizes with great selection so and staying loyal to them now that I've gone up the escalator in my local store.

I should also suggest the brand Alfani's in Macy's. They are in the plus sizes AND the regular sizes!! Although, it sounds like you could shop just about anywhere in the regular sizes. Have fun!

Hi I found some great clothes at the Salvation Army as well as ebay I got new suits dress for as low as 10 bucks and get compliments on them everyday since I am smaller . I am more encourage to buy and wear wrap around dress and I get so many compliments , I admit I look great in them lol.

Macy's and JCPenny's are great... don't spend too much though because chances are whatever you buy right now will be too big in a couple of months! I found a couple of cute consignment shops that I'm getting things at... one of them lets me trade in my too big clothes for smaller sizes... :)
