  1. Most plans call for protein shakes and that is perfect for your shakes.
  2. Very normal-- you are probably losing fat, just "restocking water"! That 3-week stall article on here explains it really well.
  3. That sounds awesome and I have all of those ingredients!

  5. I am also 5'10" and just had 4-month appt. this week. My surgeon said he sees no reason I can't get to 160 based on being 187 now. He said a lot of it has to do with where you start and I was 34 BMI on day of surgery after pre-op diet. He said most patients can't get in normal BMI range. Personally, I would be happy with 170, but will try for 160.

  8. @@Babbs My daughter and I love that chicken salad. Made with greek yogurt and great in lunches!
  9. I just went yesterday and spent $550!!! I did get silverware (my kids had us down to three large spoons and no little ones) and renewed my membership, but $450 of that was food. I have three kids and my two boys eat non-stop. I buy a lot of Soup (chicken tortilla, veggie quinoa, tomato) because my kids take it in their lunches in their thermoses. I also buy them Go-gurt and myself Chiobani 100 Greek, coffee (I do caffeine in am and decaf in evening, but can't find decaf at Costco), individual hummus for daughter, lots of produce, Protein bars and drinks, chicken and fish.

  13. I definitely have the clothes thing going on, too. Most of my clothes that now fit are 10 years old that I saved and I really need to get new ones! I have started buying a few things and am amazed that the 14s are starting to get big. I tried on a 12 dress and it fit, but I didn't buy it yet. I really need to get jeans because my ones from 10 years ago are out of style and I am 5'10" and couldn't find them long enough back then (lots better selection now)! I always use the big stall in the RR, but will continue as I hate the little spaces and feel more exposed to germs!

  16. Comfy pajamas and slippers, water flavor drops (water was rough for a long time), sugar-free cocoa and Stevia, Nutribullet to blend shakes with ice
  17. I chew gum after eating and it helps a lot. Not sure which surgery you had, though. My SIL had bypass and her dr. told her no gum because it could get stuck. My NUT said more of an issue for me that I may not get Water in if I am chewing gum. I asked her if I could chew it for 30 min. after eating then drink. She thought it was a great idea and it has worked so well for me.

  19. My insurance went off initial weight, so I qualified at 36+ BMI, but was 34 on day of surgery. Check with your plan to be sure!

  21. Try mixing shakes with ice in a Nutribullet-style blender. Much better than RTD. I also tried sugar-free instant puddings and flavors in them. Helped with Protein taste and the monotony.
  22. Drying my hair right now and every time I run my hand through my hair, lots of hair falls all over my keyboard!
