So how long did you wait to start doing squats, lunges, etc after surgery? I have a nice size tush and I want to maintain/tone it as much as I can. The hope is to only lose some of it but mostly tone.

I have started after 3 weeks but I guess I am very much deconditioned. Felt tired after 10 squats, could do 50 when I was 25ibs heavier.

I love this title but would be happy to give my big butt away! Love the song though. When postop did people return to exercising? I hear that walking is great postop immediately but when about weight training? I'm in a bariatric exercise class and just love it!

This is the one thing I worry about! BUT my booty has been big all my life. Can't imagine it really going away. My surgery date is 10 Feb and the moment my doc clears me I'll be right back to square...sumo squats with kettle a bell.....leg lifts.....all of that!! I might even squat my eat out of his office

@ejd1024 too funny! Thanks for the laugh.

I'm going to check with my surgeon. I know he said no strength training until 6 weeks but maybe squats and the likes would be ok before then.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
