Sleeve countdown!

Recommended Posts

Umm not really lol!! But I'm getting better each day. I got Premier Protein so I could get the Protein requirements with fewer shakes. They have 30 g each and I can get almost two down now and I get a bottle of Water. I had some post op issues so I got some of my Fluid from popsicles too. But I don't think I have hit the "suggested amount" yet. It's getting easier though.

7wks post op and things get easier each and every day! Once you have the surgery you simply need to allow your tummy time to heal. I still have issues with liquid and Protein intake. But tomorrow is a new day and I'll try again tomorrow :) hugs of support!

There is no freaking out! Yes that first 24 hours is a bit uncomfortable and you are only human - you will doubt yourself until you are in the OR and under the good sleepy stuff.

I have to be honest - the hardest part for me was the gosh darn gas bubble and the moronic fool in the next room who was having a party with his family. I do believe that when I finally was able to expel some of the gas bubble I may have scared them into leaving. :)

The surgery was by far the best decision I have made in the past 20 years and I am so happy to say that my primary care doctor was so supportive of my decision. She is my champion. I have more energy - my children are benefitting from the healthier eating and my husband is having the surgery on the 8th of January. I am so happy you are making this choice for yourself. I am a firm believer in this surgery and I have finally lost the baby weight (15 years later but hey, who's counting).

Stephie and ShineShine - ask me anything you want any time - I am an open book and I have no issues sharing and congrats on making this decision

Very nervous though. Almost to where I've had 2nd thoughts. Did anyone else feel that way?

Every single day. Sometimes I still wonder if I did the right thing. Lol I know I did, you just sometimes have those thoughts.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
