I got approved after 2+ weeks - Surgery Dec 30th

Recommended Posts

I got the call today- Surgery will be Dec 30th! I am so excited. I was told earlier in the month that it wouldn't happen in December because there were more important cases. I am so thankful and excited!!!! Bring on the liquid diet! I can do this!

I was told it probably wouldn't happen in Dec also, but I have my date for the 30th and Ins co say approval will be by the end of today. I started my pre-surgery diet yesterday. They told me 2 weeks ahead or less if I got a date and didn't have that much time. So I went ahead and started, even though the ins approval hadn't happened yet, because there should be no reason for denial. I have my fingers and my toes crossed.

Hello everyone,

I am also scheduled for my revision lap band to VGS on December 29th, I will be going home on Dec 31st.

Was actually unexpected when I have the call that the doctor agreed to do it 3 weeks after removing my lap band. I am on a liquid diet as well.

Starting our new year

Good luck to all of us

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
