Six weeks out- down 35 lbs. 50 since starting the program. Amazing to me how little food has control over me now. I grabbed a chunk of chicken to eat tonight because I was out running errands. Few hours later I had a Mandarin for a treat. I used to plan to go get food and looked forward to food now it's just necessity. Eat enough Protein and drink my fluids. No issues with drinking Water no sipping needed. Happy girl. Food used to rule part of my life. Not anymore.

Congrats on your weight loss, keep on that good path it only gets better. I am three days from my 5 mth surgiversery ... 81 pds down since the start of the journey, 64 since surgery. I have never felt so good in my life. I am smaller than I was in high school, love every day of it.

I can't wait for that feeling. I've got a little bit of that on pre-op but I still catch myself thinking about junk. Neuropathways change after surgery to rely less on food as a pleasure source. Hypothetically, this should be a common side effect of wls. If brain scans were part of the before and after treatment, we'd know for sure.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
