I have a surgery date of 9 January 2015. I am excited, scared, afraid. I know I want to have this surgery. I know I can do it. I will be having my surgery at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. My surgeon will be Dr. Tom Sonnanstine, I have heard nothing but good things about this doctor.

I felt the same way! Remember why you started the process and try to focus on how great you will feel moving forward! Easier said than done...I know. Good luck and congratulations!

@@Mark in Ohio, congratulations! I'm just a couple of days before you (Jan 6th), and already I feel like a tremendous weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I can't wait for it to be an actual weight lifted instead of a metaphorical weight. :-)

Congratulations!!! You will feel so much better when your on the other side of things. I agree that waiting is hard, and the what if's can creep in, but like someone else said remember all the reasons why your doing it. And remember all the work you have put in to get where your going!

Congratulations Mark! I don't regret a minute of my decision! I'm 13 weeks out, 50 lbs down, exercising without pain, and I have energy to burn! I've got 50 lbs to go, and I'm feeling great. My best advice is for you to learn everything you can about pre, post surgery.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
