What are you most anxious about/excited for?

I would echo many of the same things others have listed as "Worried About". Same goes for "Excited About" with one addition. Not being invisible. I've always found it funny that the biggest person in the room is the one no one seems to see.

Fearful about:

  • Post-op pain
  • Being able to return to work quickly enough (I've arranged for 1 week off. I'm a contractor and if I don't work, I don't get paid.)
  • Being able to eat without drinking
  • Getting through the adjustment period with my diabetes meds without a significant incident
  • CAN I DO THIS?

Excited about:

  • Being able to put on shoes and socks without so much pain and struggle, not getting out of breath
  • Going up stairs (short ones)
  • Getting rid of/reducing pain (back, hips, ankles, neuropathy)
  • Not having to pull up my undershorts a thousand times a day
  • Not feeling self-conscious 24x7, particularly in professional situations

Worried about:

  • Complications from surgery
  • Complications, illness or disease after surgery as a result of having the surgery done (malnutrition, etc.)

Excited about:

  • Gaining my life back
  • More energy
  • Getting rid of the CPAP and BP meds
  • Getting to things I had stopped doing (as an earlier post wrote - somewhere along the way, just not sure when) like going to amusement parks, riding rides, walking around, not worried about stairs or a large mall to walk around, fitting in seats at sporting events, etc.
  • Shopping in any store I want to - not having to run all over town for the stores that have plus sizes
  • Crossing my legs
  • Putting on pantyhose......well, maybe :D
  • Not running out of breath from the least little exertion
  • Not worried about being able to do activities my office does for special outing days

I am sure there are more!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
