Eggs and stages

Recommended Posts

It sounds like most of us have eggs on our puree plan. I know mine specifies "scrambled", but I'm wondering how the rest of you treat eggs during this stage. I'd love a hard boiled or deviled egg right now but I'm not sure how big of a difference the texture makes.

I am 3 months post op and unless I really chew, I still struggle with hard boiled eggs. I only have 1.6cc's in my band.

You can have about any style egg. I first tried hard boiled by squishing them with a fork. Over time I could no long stand the taste of them. Although I do enjoy an omlet when going out for Breakfast. The dog gets most of it, but cheese is good:)

You know what I find funny, on my Stage 3: pureed Foods it specifically states NO scrambled eggs. I can have poached eggs. One more week till I get pureed foods! :-)

I've had hardboiled. I just dice them up really small and take care to chew really well.

I am with par1959. I always loved eggs. For some crazy reason I can no longer stand the taste of them! I have tried them every way the can be made. Yuck.

I would add some mayo if trying hard boiled that early out. Moisture is the key.

Jealous! Surprisingly, we're actually allowed to have chickens in the city here but I'm pretty sure my landlord would lay an egg herself if she found one in the yard, lol.

I ended up being lazy and just going with refried Beans, but eggs are still on the agenda :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
