That IS damn good, W!

Okay, here's a whacked story for y'all...I've been having MAJOR trouble sleeping lately, so I took an Ambien last night. Waited an hour, and it wasn't working, so I took another...which I had never done before. The next thing I know, I am waking up in bed this morning when my son comes in for me to take him to school. I feel pretty darn good, though, from the good sleep I got.

I'm driving home from the school when I realize I have no clue how I got from sitting in the living room to bed. Apparently, I went to 7-11 with hubby last night on an errand and got a pint of Bluebell Buttered Pecan ice cream. Then I proceeded to eat the entire pint before crashing in the recliner. Hubby got me to bed, thank goodness. He says he doesn't think I even knew who he was last night.

Pretty scary. I won't be taking two Ambien again, for sure. And how much does it suck to eat an entire pint of ice cream and have no memory of it?!?!?

TX - Yep, the hockey pucks have about 2 servings of Jif in them - I ran across them at Target last week. Sounds perfect to me.

That sucks on the Ambien adventure. It's never bothered me, but my dad has had some weird experiences with it. It sucks to have eaten an entire pint of Blue Bell. It sucks far, far, far more not to have remembered it. When I lived in Dublin, there was a restaurant on Stephens Green that had Blue Bell Homemade vanilla flown in daily. The Irishters never could understand why I always wanted to go there until they tasted the ice cream. Also, there is (at least used to be) BB Homemade vanilla at all of the Outback Steakhouses. The guy who owned them (and Fridays) lived in Hurst (he owned Dalt's where Italiannies is now as well). In the it's a small world department to which we belong. His daughter and my wife were best friends when they moved to the Boston suburbs in the mid-90s...

TX,

You ate ice-cream and don't remember it?!

That's worse than blacking out and having crazy sex!

Not that I have experience in that department.

I know, J! It's awful!

Yeah, I don't have experience in the blacking out (from crazy amounts of tequilla) and having crazy sex, either! LOL

When you partner says, "wow you were off the charts last night." and you think, "we had sex?"

Wow...so I'm really not alone in this! Hilarious! Hubby still refers to that night during our vacation in 96!

I have forgotten sex too.

J I see you lost a pound you foxy little minx

Stef I have had vicodin induced comas like that.

I am making DH apply to work at the Whole Foods in Ann Arbor. If by the grace of God he got the job I would enjoy the 20% food discount. The cashiers there make like almost the same as he does as a friggin manager and they get 100% paid benefits and food discount. I would be in organic heaven.

Whole Foods is on my list of places I will apply to after the MBA.

They've got good politics and their market value trends upward.

Oh, and if it's a big Whole Foods they have a hella fabulous wine selection! I'll have to tell Alison there's one in Ann Arbor. We've been known to drive there for shopping...there or Grand Rapids because there aint shit in Kalamazoo.

TX-Funny about that night in '96. Good thing you were with someone you trust....hehehe.

I love vicodin comas. I had one of those Tuesday night. Cough Syrup and vicodin combo...I slept like a baby...a baby on benadryl.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
