Congrats and good luck...you are about to embark on an amazing adventure...one thing I wish I had done was taken a pic of me each week...so I suggest it to you... when you reach a stall or are having a bad time, reflect on how much you have changed already...keep in touch!

Well its been 2 days since surgery and I think so far so good..

It's been tough getting in my fluids and what not. I haven't even had anything to eat yet. I'm on "full fluids" and I've tried Jello, pudding, and boost...they all tasted terrible!

What tips or tricks do you have for getting enough Fluid and stuff in through the day?

Thanks so much!

Sheena :-)

I set a timer on my phone to go off every 3 minutes to remind me to take a sip of liquid. Early on this was the only way I could get close to the intake just to stay hydrated.

To keep me on track and get all my fluids in I stuck to the sample menu (as much as I could). Made sure every hour I got in the alotted amount. It will get easier ;)

This is a great idea! I'm stealing it lol

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
