Vomited clear slime, felt like dying

Recommended Posts

I'm 3 weeks post op and ate some sjreded meat today (ok per my doctor). 10 minutes later I felt really horrible, and the pain stuck around for about 10 minutes. I also did a lot of spitting and felt nauseated.

Then I retched a few times, and ultimately threw up some clear goo.

Should I be worried that I damaged my stomach or sleeve? This seemed a lot worse than just sliming. Has this happened to anyone else?

This sounds about normal. It still happens to me and I'm 14 months post-op. Just yesterday I decided to eat half a chicken sandwich...grilled chicken, lettuce, Tomato, and wheat bun and I spent the next 2 hours puking up chicken covered in slime. It's really very sexy, lol, but it's also normal, so don't be worried. :)

It just means your new tummy doesn't feel ready to tolerate that just yet, and is giving it back for re-consideration.

It's only happened a couple times, when I ate too much ("one bite too much") and/or too quickly. It happens rarely now since I'm getting more used to the smaller portion sizes.

Happens to me now and then too. Unless it's often or very painful, I would not worry.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
